The address on my birth certif is that of the former Martha Washington Home for Unwed Mothers (Booth Memorial Hospital).
As suggested on the Wisc I-CARE website, I've just sent a letter to the Salvation Army in Des Plaines regarding my desire to reunite with my birth mother.
A content person, I've been very happily married since 1987 to an awesome guy, have a terrific career, and overall am forunate to enjoy a wonderful life...but I often wish I could reunite with any member of my birth family--particulary birth mom.
Hope you're out there!

ICare is a great site. There are other good, free adoption registries to consider a post on. Some really good ones are:
Adoption, International, Domestic, Waiting Child, Baby, Infant, Open, Adoption, Adopt, Adopting, Ado (username and password only)
G's Adoption Registry
Tina's Adoption Site
EWO Adoption Registry
If you have received the non-identifying information, I suggest that you file an Adoptee Disclosure Affidavit, releasing identifying information to your birth family. I can send you that form, just email me at hnasep@sbcglobal.net.
