I have only used respite once before, so bear with me here. I am currently out of town for a family event. The girls do not travel well and there are a lot of family members staying here already, so I chose to leave them in respite for the weekend. I got the name of someone from another foster parent and I set it all up myself. I sent the caseworker an e-mail with the person's contact info. I never got a response back from the caseworker. (But, I never do get responses...) The bio parents are allowed to call the girls in the evening on my cell phone. I asked the CW to let them know I was going to be out of town. She did not. Dad called tonight and was upset that he was not told. He then called me back a few minutes later and told me he had just talked to his attorney (are they that available on weekends?). His attorney said he gets calls, so I needed to call the respite person and let her know he gets calls. I did call her and she said she would call him and let the girls talk to him. I am just really annoyed right now. I did everything I was supposed to, right? I set it up myself, but I gave the CW all the info. Is the CW supposed to ler bio parents know? Thanks!
