Hi!
I am currently breastfeeding my biological daughter. She is 10 months old and I plan on nursing her for another year or so.
We are adopting our next child and I want him to have breastmilk as well. Can I pump and freeze my milk for a few months before he arrives? I want to try to nurse him as well... but just in case my milk has dried up by then, I would love to have a supply for him to have for at least the first couple of months.
You can certainly freeze breastmilk! It's supposed to be good in the freezer for up to 6months :)

You can definitely freeze it ahead of time. If you have a good supply now, it's likely that if you also start pumping ahead of time, you can get your supply back in time for a second baby. Even if your supply is so-so, there are supplements and some medications that can help you out.
It's been 7 years since I've breastfed, and I had a reduction surgery last year. I've been pumping recently and I am able to get a very tiny amount now, so I have high hopes that I can work towards nursing again.
There's an adoptive breastfeeding forum here, and there are a ton of sites with advice for how/when to pump or add supplements.
