Hi All... I am new on this site and I am sure that this message has been posted a ton of times but I am hoping for advice... My husband and I are excited to move on to adopting our future child after 2+ years of TTC and many failed fertility treatments. We are still deciding between domestic and international but are leaning more towards international, particularly Korea and/or Colombia. What we need help on is agency advice. We have A LOT of informational packets coming in the mail but I would love any information from those who have experienced it first hand. I know that it has to be sent through a PM. I am SO appreciative of any info. as we feel very overwhelmed right now! :prop:
Let me just remind you that Korea requires you to use an agency that is licensed by the Korean government to place children with families in your state, unless you are doing a special needs adoption. All other countries, including Colombia, allow you to use an agency located anywhere in the U.S.

Really? As you can tell we are very early on in the process... So, the adoption agencies that have Korea as a country of choice are not available for Illinois? Would you have any info. on how I would locate an agency that is liscensed by the Korean govt?
Thanks for the info!
