Well, we asked for the month of August off, when our last placements went home the end of July. But I know us too well and knew that if our agency called with more kids, we'd say yes. :-) (We also said that we really wanted a single child next time, since all we've had so far are sibling groups of 2 or 3.)
Last night, they called and we said yes to a new sib group and their cousin. But when they tell you that the kids are sitting down at the police station waiting, how can ya say no??
The boys are lively and seem to be totally okay with their change in living arrangements. The little girl is sad, scared and my heart really breaks for her. Not sure how long we'll have them. It's supposed to be temporary, but we all know how that goes.

It really was a quick placement! I took them to meet the caseworker who was moving them to another foster home. We were not from their county, so our agency found the kids a home who was.
We've discovered that we really LIKE doing emergency placements! Hopefully we get more.
That's great! I wish we did emergency placements over here.. I think I'd really enjoy that!
