Well, it was bound to happen. Manni and Raven are going at it.
I would post a warningto take it to PM or get back on track, but from previous experience neither will listen to me. Crick??

People are allowed to debate...it's not against the rules to do that. We don't need to step in just because there's a healthy or even passionate debate/discussion.
If they cross the line to disrespect etc., then yes - please post a warning.
Hold your horses ladies!!!!;)
I realize they can debate, but I guess I saw it as going off on their own personal arguement that really was rather off topic and should be taken to PMing.

They did pretty good really. I mean it IS Manni and she does have a way of ruffling so many feathers. Still...she remains a heck of a lot more respectful than Sbaglio who is really a jerk at times. Yes, I namecalled. Sue me.
Anyway, I posted this a.m. and I'm sure it'll be closed at some point today simply to give everyone some breathing room and calm down time. Just keep an eye on it and we'll go from there.
It is interesting that for Manni (actually for many of us) sensitivity only works one way. We expect everyone to be sensitive to what WE care about. (I occasionally make statements at Bibile studies like, God loves serial killers too; or, Capitalism isn't Christian to spark thoughtful discussion. The only problem is that they are subjects that are so emotionally charged for some that we can't discuss them.)
Yeah, I thought about mentioning that the guy who bombed OK city claimed to be Christian, so would people be upset if someone wanted to build a church two blocks from there? I bet no one would care. I have also been amazed at how many people seem to think they are building it right on the site.
Kathy, I made similar comments in Bible studies I used to teach with similar results from adults, however, it was interesting how differently the teens tended to take it. They seemed more open.
