Child from another state--- whadda ya think?

We recieved our 2nd placement Thursday afternoon as well as our 2nd respite, (he's 5 years old) he will be leaving us Monday. Our placement looks to be ...promising down the line from what we know of right now. I could be wrong, but from what I know, there's history between both parents, in the paperwork-siblings names are unknown cause it states that they've been adopted, father I guess is violent, & mom has not kept up with reg. immunizations because apparently his last were at his 4 mos. appointment and he is 1 year old. The only thing is he is from out of state--- apparently he was with relatives for several days, & somehow mom & child ended up in my state & county so he's with us. There's a court date Monday I believe, but I heard the case worker say he wants to push for placement with us. So, I feel confident that he'll most likely end up with us if the case worker is pullin for it. I only "speculate" POSSIBLE TPR down the line because of what I know, & everything. I know, there have been situationss where they shouldn't have left, & they did. You never know. But we'll see. I hope he can stay with us! At least long term..... But what do you think.....? If the case worker wants placement with us, which he does, you think it could happen or would they send him back home. Mom is currently in custody in this state, father is not proven but there is to be no contact with either parent...... hmmmmmmm __________________
