If he was adopted through an agency, I would send the medical info to the agency, with a letter stating it's importance. Make sure they know that this information should be released to your biological son if he contacts the agency seeking information about his adoption.
I checked out [url=http://www.mare.org/Search/RelBroc.html]Release of Adoption Information[/url] for information about MI adoption; unless you stated that you did not want your identifying information to be released, it looks like your biological son can receive all of your ID information if he so chooses.
