Still searching for any one with information regarding a male baby born in Southern California. 5-25-1967. Very unusual circumstances. I beleive if you are the correct party, you can fill in the gaps. Desperate for info.
If you have a name of either the birthname or adoptive name, then register at gsadoptionregistry.com for free and the search angels can help cross check the information.
I found my husbands birthmother that way, and he was born in 67 in CA.
Good Luck!

Please do not reply to this post with tips. If we had any information, rather, if it were available, we wouldnt be searching here. Serious replies only please. Thank you
Per the above posting that reads:
"Please do not reply to this post with tips"
It was a serious reply from someone trying to help in a search. When a (any) posting is made it is open for ALL to reply to and offer suggestions and advice. It would be the choice of the person that initiated the thread to take or not take the advice/suggestions/ideas being offered. Many search angels look on these forums to find people that they may be able to help that are searching. I believe it may have been suggested that posting(s) can be made on other registries - as to put the information out there for others to see in the event that they are looking as well. The suggestion "tip" that made was actually very good one. There are some people (search angels) that are often able to find information ie birth name (bfather's surname/mother's maiden name) on the microfiche copy of the birth index if the county of birth and the date of birth is known. This way of searching has been very effective in the state of CA - and has been very instrumental in a great many reunions in the state. Best to take all the help you can get - and be thankful there are people out there trying to assist.
Those of us who do look-up's on the California Birth Index need to know the county of birth. If I had to search through all of the counties that comprise the Southern California area, it would take me hours and hours.
The CBI is available online at Ancestry.com and SFGenealogy.com if you'd like to look up your own listing. It's fairly easy to spot adopted infants from between 1960 and 1980 on the CBI. They'll have two listings, both with the same mother's maiden name. Often they won't have a first name for the baby. One listing will be under the mother's maiden name, and the second listing will be under the father's surname. Sometimes a baby will have three listings---this generally means the mother was married at the time of birth, but the father wasn't her husband, i.e., she had an affair.
Good luck...and I would also recommend going to the website that the second poster generously referred you to. That site has some awesome search angels.
Dont post on my thread telling what to be polite of. You have no idea what we are going thru and how painful our situation is. By the cryptic-ness of my posting it should be obvious we have no info available. If we had it, I certainly wouldnt be posting the way i did.

Please Understand The Tips And Hints Will Not Help In This Situation. This Is Not Your Typical Adoption Case. I Have Been Doing This For Years, And If Any Info Were Available, I Wouldnt Be Here Begging For Any Information On This. I Am Only Looking For Replies With Info On This Situation.
Well, good luck getting somebody to help you in finding whatever it is you're looking for. I suggest you look at the California Birth Index yourself, since I really doubt any of the search angels are going to volunteer their time with this one.
Maybe this baby wasnt born in a hospital, a birth index would do NO GOOD. Im not looking for people to volunteer and do my work for me, looking for some one who is withholding info on a terrible thing that happened. Not sure why you keep harassing me?
