For those of you who have been to Bogota, if you could stay anywhere, where would it be and why? (or why not?).
Zona Rosa...walking distance to Andino
Parque 93
Chico Zone
Usaquen Zone
Unicentro Zone walking distance to the big mall
Santa Barbara

Hey there! We've stayed in Bogot twice now, and honestly, all of the places that you mentioned are nice areas. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. Zona Rosa is very nice but pretty pricey. During our first stay we stayed near Parque 93 and it was a nice area with many restaurants, and not too far from major malls. The second time we rented an apartment in the Santa Barbara area, and again, it was in easy walking distance of shops, grocery stores, and restaurants, and even Unicentro was only about a 20 min. walk. The guy we rented the apartment from was super nice, fluent in English, and has several different apartments around the city. I'd be glad to pass along his contact info if you're interested!

Hello,
I think we have been in contact before a couple of years ago. Was your original adoption through Commonwealth? We were one of the lucky few and had completed our adoption the year before they closed.
Anyways...where to stay.
Unfortunately, I am not the least bit familiar with the different neighborhoods in Bogota. We stayed at the Hotel Zuetana. Casa Hoteles Zuetana - Bogota - Colombia
We started out at the Hotel Paris (recommended by Commonwealth) and checked out the next day. Very uncomfortable room and poor service. Zuetana was very nice and the staff was very helpful.
Feel free to write if you have any other questions. Our adoption was also through the ICBF. Our daughter had been in foster care and arrived to us at 7 months very happy and healthy.
Blessings,
Ana
