And, unfortunately, MA has only opened up its original birth certs for adoptees born before 1974. My husband was adopted thru cath charities...there is a woman who handles all the adoption stuff located in the south boston office named wendy vanderhook. She is really helpful and nice. You can request your non-identifying info from her. My dh was able to locate his bmom using that info. Also, she can let you know if your bfamily has put in a request for contact...that is how my sil reunited with her bmom. Best of luck to you!
