How do you describe "blackened jerk chicken" in another language? Or translate 'mosquito net'? What if 'tuk tuk', 'wombok' or 'gailan' is not in your English dictionary? There's a very nifty pocket-sized photo dictionary called, "Point It", (ISBN number 3-9803130-2-6) published by graf-editions.de that contains over 1200 well catalogued (eg. photos dealing with food, hotels, things from a pharmacy, medical stuff, even 'rare, medium and well-done' for steak as well as all weird KINDS of modes of transport found overseas) photos for travellers. I'd circulated the booklets to my international staff before they travelled overseas and they found them very handy. And apparently some UN Peace Keeping staff and Olympic athletes have used the photos. I just thought some people here might find the booklet of photos handy during their travels. And it makes for a fun souvenir.
