I realize that there is probably no standard answer but approximately when are online profiles typically removed? In other words, how far along do things typically progress before the profile is deleted from the waiting children type websites?
I inquired about 2 children in Florida, the SW said they had just found an adoptive home for them. It was probably about 3 to 4 weeks later before their picture disappeared from the photolisting. I imagine it's just whenever the worker gets around to it.

Our foster kids were with us almost a year and we were their only prospective adoptive resource. The state paid someone to put together their online profile and put them on the waiting child photo listing. I thought that was kind of misleading because they were not considering any other adoptive parents. They told me they legally have to do it so that if there are any other distant relatives of the kids that haven't come forward yet for the kids that will be their chance. It's like a way of publicly notifying the world these kids will be up for adoption soon and if you have any legal interest you need to contact them. In the end this kids were never adopted. The birth parents gave up the names of other criminals and were set free. The kids were just leverage to get them to talk.
