We recently had two little girls placed with us as pre-adoptive......and absolute dream come true! As we were waiting for this miracle I began researching hair care. My hair is painfully straight and silky, thus managing bi-racial hair was going to be all new to me. I went looking for a book and I found a really good one!

When my girls came home they had only worn their hair in two braids, every day, day in and day out. The oldest, who is 5 wanted it down......using the instructions and products recommended in the book her hair is fabulous!
I hope this helps, it sure did us! Using her tips and products suggestions even my husband can do their hair!

Thanks for this! Just last night I was on Amazon looking for AA hair care books. Planning ahead for when our forever babies move in with us. Congrats to you!

Thanks for this. I was just looking around for books yesterday. My daughter (3/4 AA 1/4 Hispanic) is 17 months old and I really don't know much at all about caring for her hair.
Any other book recommendations from anyone else would also be appreciated! :)
