My husband and I have been searching for his biological mother for many years and we are so frustrated because we haven't been able to find out one piece of useful information.
We have all non-identifying info from the adoption agency. None of this information, so far, has been helpful. We also paid the adoption agency hundreds of dollars to do a search for us and they finally said that they couldn't find his mother but if we sent them more money they would try further. We didn't have the money so we couldn't continue the search with them.
We petitioned the courts for his birth certificate. It was denied. New Jersey is the worst when it comes to adoption records. Right now we are writing a letter to the hospital for his birth record. This will be the second request. 1st request was 8 years ago and we are hoping that someone else receives request and is compassionate enough to send info.
We've spent countless hours researching newspapers, ancestry.com, among other websites without not one result. Can anyone give us advise on what else we can do or where else we can search. Without a last name, we keep hitting brick walls.
