I have a pet peeve!!

I gave my son up through a church 3rd party, 3 days after birth in 1965. I vowed not to search until he was 21 and I didn't. When we found each other, by a fluke, he told me something I found to be unbelievable, but I had heard of before..ADOPTIVE PARENTS!! Listen UP!! His aparents had an older bio son, they had recently lost a young bio daughter to a drowning accident, which was tragic. Then they adopted my son as a REPLACEMENT:evilgrin: for the daughter they lost..I am sure it wasn't intentional, but he felt it. He always felt left out, like an outsider..He was loved, but not unconditionally, like one does a bio child..At 27, he told me these things. He was told he wasn't like "so and so" and didn't act like their other children, and so on and so on..Please, if you had a lose, wait for that grief to become bearable, and don't expect another to be the same..Think 1st as he is angry at his aparents, but still loves them..He is confused. I got a good feeling immediately when I met him..He is ME..he looks like me, he talks like me, he thinks like me..He is loved and know it..:cheer:
