Hi folks!
I work for a local radio station, and I am looking to get some Questions to ask Afton Fraser (Brendan Frasier's ex-wife) and her mother Miriam Smith, the authors of the new book "Point To Happy". I will be interviewing them on April 8th, and once I get my copies I the book I plan to give them away on my blog.
Many of us have heard of "Social Stories" for our children. Although my 7 year old DD is not on the spectrum, she does/did have a very hard time with social cues when she arrived in our home. We worked very hard to help her social skills early on, and now she is closer to age appropriate.
Here is a link to a video about the book Point to Happy | Workman Publishing Blog
I am also going to post this on the main forum since many visit there more often than here.
I appreciate any questions for the Authors... I am hoping they will make many more books similar to this!

I've tried to think up some questions...but haven't really come up with a good one.
One issue I'd like the general public to know, and maybe could be brought up in a discussion with the authors is this myth about autism "stealing the souls" of children. I think, or hope, anyway, that books like this and social stories overall, can show the world that children with autism aren't blank slates. Autism doesn't make a child less a person or personality. I'd like to hear some explore the very real way books like this bridge the gap so that others can see the person that the child is.
I'm guessing most people see these books are allowing the child into the big wide world, but it can also let the big wide world see into the child.
