We adopted 4 last year so our adoption tax credit is a large amount. I was told by an IRS agent they do not direct deposit anything over 10,000. I know some people on here have gotten their ATC plus their refund and was wondering if anyone had a direct deposit over 10,000? Just wondering if what she told me was true or not. Thanks!
Thank you, I knew that couldn't be right. Were you in review or did everything go smoothly for you? I've had a code 1301 since Feb. 16 so not sure what is going on with mine...hoping to have some change the next couple weeks and praying I don't go into review, ha ha. Thanks for answering!

Hi there. We got the dreaded "a letter will be sent message" but I did get a partial refund for the amount not related to our ATC and it was over $10K and was direct deposited this past Friday. I don't think she knew what she was talking about!
We got our refund w/ATC on 3/4 and it was direct deposited without incident - over $23,000. So, the agent is wrong, as per usual.
Thanks! I'm calling this morning to find out if there has been any movement on mine. I just want to be out of the error code 1301 and moving in SOME direction. I hope all of you get your refunds too. I'd take a partial at this point!
Mine was accepted on Feb. 17, had an expected DD date of March 15, came and went and turned into code 1301! Was told it was because of the FTHB credit, which we didn't even claim!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGHHHHH. So, I'm afraid when we finally get out of that mess that we will go into "review" and have to get through that process when we could be taking care of all that NOW! It's so frustrating.
Well I called and apparently I should be out of 1301 code on or before April 5. He said it would go back into regular processing from there and the refund should be released. Of course this does not take into account the ATC and I'm not sure if he means it all or a portion. We shall wait and see next week.
