We adopted our daughter in April 2010 (before all the changes). We qualified for NRAE but have yet to see it. Apparently, all our paperwork has been lost by CEU (a common occurrence it seems-we adopted our son just a few months ago, and the CEU lost our paperwork then too). We were just sent a form to complete, but there are no instructions and the form looks like someone there should be completing it. For those of you who qualified for NRAE and actually received it, how did you go about it? Thanks.

Same here....our lawyer sent the form to CEU/DCS and they paid her directly. We did get a notice in the mail when they confirmed they'd sent the payment.

I agree with the others.. In all four of my adoptions, my attorney was paid directly. In my very first adoption, my atty didn't claim all the money and I got $200 back (court fees I paid up front) but I had that $$ within 2-3months of finalizing.. Sorry I can't be of more help.
