Updates/NonUpdates?

Hi All!!! The Board has been QUIET!!! :coffee: I have been checking in for awhile hoping to see some activity...but no such luck. Anyone interested in giving or hearing updates? How long have you been waiting for a referral? What are you doing while you wait? How long have you been home? How is adjusting going? Or, if you are starting the process, how is the decision making going? Here is my brief update for starters. Hope to hear more! We have been waiting for almost 5 months or so for a referral. We have not specified boy/girl. We know many have been waiting much longer, so we aren't horribly impatient (yet!). On our first adoption, completed in 2009, our little girl is doing great! She is almost 3.5 now (how did that happen?) She has been behind in her gross motor skills (didn't walk until she was 25 months), but she is walking and running well now. And she makes up for it with her fine motor skills (proud mom in me has to point out that she did a 24 piece puzzle all by herself yesterday!). She still has some anxiety and attachment issues (by my own informal diagnosis), she is very clingy to me and wakes up most nights crying and crying for me. I still have never had one night away from her...so maybe I am fostering and enabling the clinging. I'm still of the mindset of it being a good "problem" - at least she does find comfort. She does pretty well at school when I am away, so we know she'll get there. Hope everyone is having a nice start to warm weather and hope you have fun summer plans!
