Hello, I am researching Lifetime Adoptions LLC out of CA, but I am based in an agency-only (no facilitators) state. Does anyone have any feedback or suggestions?

Did you receive any feedback or came across any review of Lifetime Adoption LLC? I have recently submitted their online application and still waiting to hear back from them. But before I start any process, I also need to know more about them from adopting parents who have used their services.

Hello, No, I haven't received any feedback other than your email. They do have a Facebook page and have over 1,000 "Likes" but its a marketing tool and may not reveal the nitty gritty details. It may be worth looking through the posts though.I also submitted an online application, but since we are in an agency-only state, its unlikely that we will be able to work with them unless they are able to provide some feasible options. We will most likely return to a legal-risk foster adoption.
Hello,
I just came across your thread so I had to chip in my two cents. My wife and I have used Lifetime to complete our first adoption back in 2007 and we are working with them again right now for our second adoption. We love working with them, and were even able to visit them in person in California. They are awesome people doing some great work. I applaud you for doing some research and applying with them. I would suggest that you contact an adoption attorney from your state to get more info on the use of adoption facilitators. Check out American Academy of Adoption Attorneys - Home to find one in your state. Good luck with your adoption journey!
We attempted to work with them. But quickly found out that they wanted all of their fees before they would begin to help us. They also tried to convince us to alter our adoption plan and agree to be accepting of a child that would not fit our family dynamics well at all. We felt leary of them and did lots of research. We decided to go the independent route instead. Well, we consulted an attorney to learn how to do the independent route and found out that to work with a facilitator was not even legal in our state. He said Lifetime knows this but like I said they want money and would have found a way around this. I have learned to trust my gut feeling in the journey of adoption. Do your research and make sure you read fine print and most of all trust your instincts.
