My in-laws are adopting our former FD and they say they don`t need to take classes and don`t need a homestudy. They live in CA (kern county) and FD is in NV.They know FFD very well and have some bonding from when she lived here. The ICPC is already started and the only thing they had to do so far is orientation classes, finger printing and background check. NV told them it is up to CA what they have to do.FFD is in a mental hospital right now till june 10 and then is gonna stay with us till ICPC go trough and then move to CA with in-laws.They haven`t even got a SW in their home ? I never heard about this that there are states that don`t require a homestudy for adoption. The adoption goes thru county no private agency.
