In Dallas County, I sent a request to the judge to unseal my adoption file along with statement of why(medical history from birthfamily) and driver's license and birthcertificate. The judges there, I was told, 98% time grant requests since one of the judges has adopted children. Once I received the signed order to unseal documents and file, I mailed off to department where file was and received original birth cert, adoption cert, and all paperwork that birthmom filled out. This gave me full name, DOB, addresses, etc.
It was NOT the non-identification copy of the file.
Hope this helps anyone in Dallas Co, TX or try it for other counties.

Can you let us know what you do have? Such as any states, last names, first names, birth years of people, counties you know...etc? I am not quite sure I can help but considering I have an extensive amount of info that I just got this year on me and my case, I may be able to...I am very resourceful...Also, a 1978 baby in NC so we may have that in common!
Hi! Well i have my non-identifying info and that just describes their age, mom 17, causcaisan, dad 26, african-american and mom was still in high school and dad worked at the time at a pallet factory. my birthmom's parents and grandparents all working in a furniture factory. my birthfather was also a truck driver. and i think his grandfather worked in a funeral home. i have no names and am thinking that they may have been in the yadkinville, nc area. i was adopted thru the CHS in greensboro, nc. thanks so much for responding!!
