We were matched very fast (a few weeks) but the due date was 6 months out.
That ended in a failed match and we got matched the very next day again. The expectant mom has chosen us by accident while we were in the first match (communication error) and she had waited before chosing another couple. Once we became available we were matched up right away.
This time we had a 4 month wait. Hopefully this time it everything will go smoothly.
Were home study approved November 2010.

We're an interracial couple (DH is AA) and were told our wait would be short. We were home study approved in November 2010, active family with agency in December 2010 and matched 4 days later for a baby due in 5 weeks. That family decided to parent a week before delivery. We were matched again in a few days, baby born 2/11/11 and home with us 2/13/11. Now for finalization!
Thanks. Patience is not one of my virtues. But it seems as though God is teaching me, between the miscarriages and the uncertainty of adoption... I am practicing patience.
We have not waited long at all to get matched. I just wondered if we are just lucky at this point.
We actually matched while looking for an agency. And then we were fast tracked for home study. The mother our agency had only wanted a aa couple. But she ended up being on drugs. And in the end decided to parent.
We were matched again a few weeks later. But again are waiting for the baby to be born. I guess I am nervous, because I this fails again... I just wonder if we will be as lucky with matches as we have been thus far.
Ahhh the wait...lol
