parenting child born thanks to donated embryos?

I wonder if anyone on here is parenting a child thanks to donated embryos? I've heard this referred to as "prenatal adoption", and certainly some adoption agencies also offer programs with donated embryos. I'm wondering what sort of issues may come up in terms of identity for these kids? We are considering donor embryos either now or if our Poland adoption happens first, for child #2. Since neither of us will have a genetic link to the child, I am thinking of it as an adoption.
