Hello,
New to the forum, but I've held onto the idea of adoption for 10+ years. Now I'm going to act on it. :-)
So I'm at the starting line... I live in Massachusetts, want to adopt independently from Ukraine (I'm aware of all the current issues at the moment).
I was wondering if anyone from MA has completed a home study recently and could make a recommendation... mainly, for the most affordable. I've found older posts on this topic, but I fear they're outdated. I have tried researching MA home studies online, but I'm not getting much for results.
Thank you in advance for any information you can provide!

You will need to check MA laws on home studies in case that you need to follow specific state requirements. I've adopted from Ukraine and I use the services of a licensed social worker for our home study and this is acceptable. I don't live in MA but you can check websites for licensed social workers or adoption agencies who provide home studies a la carte.

Thank you for your response! I did find out that in MA, you HAVE to use a "licensed agency" for your home study no matter where you adopt from, which unfortunately leaves no wiggle room there.
