has anyone else had trouble with getting a copy of their homestudy from their caseworker?
It took me 4 yrs to get a copy, at which time I had moved from Burl co to Glouc co and went from a SHSP fost/adopt home to a regular fost/adopt home.
Although they block out the references section, the write up from the original worker was enclosed.
OMG... the errors are unbelievable! I am totally horrified that this is what people are reading about myself and husband. It paints such a negative portrayal of my childhood, and puts words into my mouth I did NOT say.
I had fought to get this corrected, but the only thing my new resource worker will do is update our new living and working section.
This is totally unfair, and I think any adoption worker reading the negativity in this report is not going to put us top of the list when looking at a possible family match to adopt.
Has anyone else run into this? Any is there a way to get a new homestudy, besides going private.. which is our next step at this point.

I think I'd be letting them know that I will continue up the chain until the errors were corrected. If the person who wrote that is making up stuff out of whole cloth and putting words in your mouth, she has probably done it to all the other home studies she wrote. There needs to be an investigation into every report she touched.
