Hi. We are still in the research stages of China SN adoption. Have narrowed down to 2 agencies. When we do adopt, we plan to take our 2 bio children ( should be 15 and 12 at the time of travel). We know we have to double airfare and in country expenses. What other expenses will we need to budget for them? Thanks so much. Traveling to their siblings birth country is a once in a lifetime experience. Couldn't imagine leaving them home!

sometimes an agency charges per person in regards to their in country guides and drivers. and most hotels in China are not like US with two beds, so count on getting a suite or two rooms.
they will also need passports and visas, any travel shots you choose to get, and the general expense of buying travel stuff: suitcases, snacks, clothing etc.

Agencies really vary in their policies regarding extra travellers. Our agency charged extra for our then 9 year old, but not as much as it was for the first two adults. Some agencies charge more, you should ask that before deciding which one you want to sign with. We also paid a bit less for his international airfare which surprised. Your children are definitely old enough to take in the experience. It is an amazing experience!
