Hi everyone,
My husband and I began our adoption journey this last summer. We are almost finished with our homestudy. Now the biggest question is still how we will finance our adoption. Our savings are unfortunately depleted after years of fertility treatments. I am very discouraged right now, so I was hoping for some help!
If some of you would not mind I would greatly appreciate if you could share with me, how you financed your adoptions.
Thank you so much for all your wonderful ideas!
Have a blessed Labor Day!
Here's what I have done:
1. Just Love Coffee.com store
2. Community yard sale
3. Private Wine Tasting (arrange with local business owners and accept donations from attendees)
4. Put together recipe book with family favorites and sell
5. Second part-time job
6. Applied for multiple grants (results pending)

1. Get a second job or work more hours at your current job or both of you work more hours.
2. Sell anything you dont NEED. Craigslist is awesome!!
3. Live frugally. You would be amazed how much money you can save when you dont go out eat all the time, dont get a morning coffee, donut or soda everyday.
4. If you have a fancy car, or a new car for that matter, SELL IT. Buy something used in good condition.
5. Check out the national adoption foundation. I know they give out loans. Not sure what the finacing options are, i didnt look into it.
My DH and i are doing most of the things i have mentioned above. We will be saving most of it before we start the process just to make sure we are covered incase we get matched quickly.
