How long after your adoption was finalized did you wait to have any "physical" contact with bios?

The last pre-adoption visit between our son and his bmom was August 2007. We finalized his adoption in November 2007. We had our first post-adoption visit in March 2008.
We have visits every 6 months and they have all gone very well. Open adoption after foster care can be successful given the right circumstances.
