Well, it's been about 3 months since I heard from my birth father that he wants no further contact at this time. I was starting to just give up on this family, when suddenly a friend of mine got in touch with my b father's sister and told her about me! She was completely shocked, she had no idea about me! I messaged her privately on facebook, and she responded a few hours later! She has asked me to have patience, as she has so much to absorb right now, but she has assured me that she would want to get to know me~ although she did write, if in fact you are my niece....I guess I can understand that she is a little skeptical. I'm sure it's crazy news to hear one day you have a 33 yr old niece you never knew about!
So now I am waiting um,Patiently....(not really, lol) for more contact. I feel like this might really happen and I could get so much information from her about my b family. I know it's early to be so hopeful, but I am really looking forward to possibly seeing pictures of my paternal grandparents and hear stories about them (they unfortunately passed away before I could meet them).
Thanks for listening to my rant....lol, I feel like my family and friends get kind of sick of hearing me talk about this;)
I can tell you my wife prefers me not to talk about my birth daughter, and that is fine. We have had to agree to disagree on this whole me having a birthdaughter situation.
I really hope you the best of luck on this. How did you notify the birthfather on this, if you dont mind me asking.

I sent him a letter explaining that my 3 yr old had recently been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and her Dr's wanted as full a medical history as we could give them, so I was hoping he would provide his medical history. He did give me that info and said that he hoped it helped but that at this time in his life he had alot on his plate and thought it best that we didn't have further contact.
