Hi! Does anyone know what counties work with each other for placements? If I live in Morris, what counties will place in Morris. Also, do I need to call those counties and give them my name?
Also, does anyone know of any counties that are swamped and will place with counties they don't officially work with?
Thanks!!!

I'm in Hunterdon, all 3 of my DYFS kiddos from Hudson. It's my understanding that it has something to do with your name getting down to Trenton and put in the statewide "pool" so to speak. My friend was only getting calls for Hunterdon at first, which was pretty much none, until she insisted her name get down to Trenton (which mine did right off the bat) and then she got matched up with her future son.

We live in Burlington County and had a call from Cape May...when no families are available in a particular county, that office starts calling other offices to ask for families. In this case our RW gave my number to the Cape May office (although placement fell through). But as far as I know, you don't have to do anything except make sure your RW knows you're available and they'll go ahead and give your number to any other offices who may need it.
