You should re-send your email. It could have been tossed into her ISP's spam folders if they have webmail. I know that's been a problem for me in recent months.Search angels often provide advice on how to search and where to look for records...and not just automatically conduct an actual search unless the person is hitting a brick wall.Many people don't seem to realize that search angels do all this stuff for free...and they spend a lot of their own free time to conduct these searches. Search angels also pay significant amounts of their own money to subscribe to the various online record databases. As my late grandmother always used to say, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." Just send another email and ask her to help you.

Yaeh what Raven said. Might I also interject by sying that there are many people online calling themselves "search angels" be VERY careful of you you give your information out to. I was bamboozled by a woman claiming to be a "search angel" early on in my naive attempt to search and the woman turned out to be a stark raving alcoholic with severe emotional problems who ended up stalking my afamily and causing a heap of problems. I am sure my case was extreme and hope that never happens to anyone again. Most search angels do want to help an do it on their own time, for many it is a hobby of sorts but they have helped. Just be sure to know who you are dealing with. The internet can be a scary place. "

Thanks for the clarification. I'm trying her suggestions before I email her again. I'm almost at the point of hitting a brick wall, but I am going to try going through birth announcements in newspapers from the places she may have been living at the time. Since we don't know an exact DOB, that means going through months of microfiche for at least 3 newspapers. That's okay. It will give me something to do. Good luck to you. I'm not going to post on this site anymore. I don't find it to be very helpful in my search and I'm tired of getting sucked into the negative vibe and I don't need it.
