Hello all!
My husband and I are starting to look into international adoption and are seriously looking at Poland. My husband's great-grandmother was from Poland and my mother-in-law recently went over to meet distance relatives of theirs. We would like to adopt a young sibling group with at least 1 girl if possible (but not required).
I have a couple of questions for you all:
1. Could someone PM the 5 agencies working in Poland? I read the previous thread (so I know about the suspensions) but would love to know what agencies are there.
2. I've stumbled upon several blogs from families who have or are trying to adopt in Poland. All of those blogs are eerily quiet and one even mentioned this fact- is there something specific going on that I haven't been able to uncover yet? Is it something that should make us look at other countries for adoption instead?
3. What are some of the factors each of you used to make your agency decision?
Please feel free to PM me your thoughts and suggestions.
Thanks!

Hi Ceemaria,
Yes, I've gotten a lot of good feedback and have done quite a bit of my own research since that post.
The 5 agencies working in Poland are:
St. Mary's in NC
Huminska Anioly in GA
Lutheran Service Society of NY
Children's House International
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago
Poland has a healthy, stable economy and many of its citizens adopt children in the orphanages. They get top priority. You won't be able to adopt a child younger than 1 and some of the agencies focus on older children (5+ years).
Feel free to PM if you have specific questions that I may be able to help answer.
