I'm an adoptive mom. I am filing my taxes (talk about last minute!). I have everything I need, but I'm realizing if I mail my official copy of the adoption decree, my only official copy will be gone...
Anyone know where you can obtain a new, official, copy? I tried googling and I'm not having much luck. We had a bad experience with our agency, so I'd prefer not to call them. I'm in Texas if that helps. I just need confirmation that I will be able to get another copy, not needing a copy today...
Help? Someone? :)

You can probably call the court where you finalized and get an additional copy. You may have to pay for it.

Send in a color copy of your official decree. They do not need an original, just a copy of it that shows any seals or other official markings. You should make another color copy too, since you might need to send it again if you get reviewed.
