According to reports, a 7 year old, who was allegedly abused by his adoptive parents, testified in their felony trial and was unable to remember exact details surrounding his fall down the stairs that left him unresponsive on September 17, 2010. According to his testimony, what he did recall were things that most young children would be excited about; riding to the hospital in a helicopter, having his own television in his room at the hospital, and that his adoptive mother was the one who pushed him down
the stairs. Reportedly, the boy recalled having a bad headache from the fall and stated that the fall did not happen on the same day that he was taken to the hospital.
Christine Arnold is being accused of beating the boy regularly with a belt because she was stressed, and not seeing that he was fed properly. According to reports, her husband, Randall, is being accused of failing to stop or report the abuse. The defense attorney for the Arnolds, argue that the boy suffered from serious behavioral problems which would sometimes cause him to injure himself and that was how his injuries were sustained.
