How do you actually get the court reports after you are granted de facto parent status? We also want copies of the hospital documents and court investigation reports. Do we have rights to those documents now?
Thanks!
I'm in the same boat. I asked the CW to make sure that I get the report. She said she didn't have anything to do with who is on the list to get reports. I think I will call the court tomorrow since our hearing is in a couple of weeks. I'll be watching to see if anyone answers you and I will let you know what I hear from the court.
I'd hate to have to hire an attorney at this point, but I just might.

I actually asked around until I got an answer. I've been told that there is a room at the courthouse where I can go and request to read the entire file. It's unknown right now if I can pay for a copy of the file from that location or just read it there, but they told me it takes a few days for the file to be returned after court so I'm waiting. To be honest hiring an attorney seems like the easier (not cheaper) option. I have been getting the court notes in the mail, but I want the other information. I already attend court, so I know what is said out loud. I want to see the investigations and written reports not just what is said. Let me know if you find out anything else.
