For over ten years now I've been trying to find my older half brother. My father has never givin me straight answer I always ask what was his mother's last name and all I get is I don't remember.
I found out about him when my parents divorced my mom finally told me my father had another son with another woman before me and my sister were born but signed him off to his birth mother which after she put him up for adoption.
My question is is there any way of tracking down that form of which he signed him off so that I may get his birth mothers name so that I may have some what of a lead. Please email me at thisisthejoey@gmail.com with any info based on this. This has been eating at me for over 10 years. Thank you for reading
Unless you know the date of birth (at least year) and state of birth your chances are pretty slim. Depending on the era fathers were not generally listed or couldn't be listed on the birth certificate.
Even with the info there are no guarantees.
Kind regards,

I also have a half brother and I found him last year. I barely had ANY information. My mom casually mention 4 or 5 years ago that she thought my father had a baby with someone in Junior High. I didn't try and start looking for him until last year. I knew he was older and my dad was in Junior High so had to do some calculating and only had like a few years he could have been born. My mom couldn't quite remember the moms name, so I had to catch her on a good memory day. So I finally posted on a couple of other adoption websites, and one of the "search angels" helped me piece it all together. I met up with him last year and with his adoption record information we confirmed he was definately my brother. Good luck on your search!
