All I know about foster care I learned here so I am sure no expert but her posts really makes me wonder. And from the responses a lot of other people find it all a little odd too.

I must admit that my first thought after the "Foster Baby Follow Up" thread was to close the thread altogether as being unneccessary. I think, however that letting some of the other forum members set her straight is the way to go and just keep an eye on it. ;)
BTW - that is the reported post by greenrobin.

Yeah, I saw the reported post. My feeling was the same as yours - let it play out and see what happens. I will be around all day so I will keep checking on it. I did PM Greenrobin and let her know that we saw her reported post email and were watching it closely.
I don't know how much Sarah will be on today but she is aware of Sonderweed and keeping an eye on the situation as well.
Thanks Debbie. I went out and mowed the back yard (large); pruned 4 trees; cleaned out some blackberry bushes; weed eated around the fence and anywhere else it needed it. Then my boys (both 5) 'helped' to move all the branches into a BIG pile. Paid them with a new DS game each. :)
It is now 2:30 and I have people coming over at 4:00 for bbq. Just needed to sit for a few minutes and have a little lunch. :D
Happy 4th to you.

Only part of the company ended up coming. We had a wonderful time eating bbq and then went to the Lights of Liberty festival in the park. Listened to the band Paul Revere and the Raiders and then stayed and watched the fireworks.
I wish I had my camcorder at the fireworks because Neko was high 5'ing the air and shouting with absolute abandonment in full joy. The look on his little face was priceless. Sam kept telling me 'look mama, fire in the sky' with huge eyes.
It was the first time I've taken them to the festival since they were a year old (now 5). This year we drove. Last time we walked and I pushed a triple stoller with 3 one-year-olds. It was so much easier to walk the 13 blocks each way than to get the kids in and out of the car and stroller. We actually made it home at the same time as some neighbors who had driven. That'll give you an idea of the traffic. We got home at 10:45 and the boys are now in bed. Hopefully they will sleep past 6:00. Usually they are in bed by 7:30.

That sounds so fun Lynda!
The boys got back from camping for 7 days so I did laundry (a LOT of laundry) and we just hung out inside with the air on.
Woke up at 5:00 AM to the power going out and the storm sirens going off. Luckly the power just came back on as it is heading up to 100 degrees again today.
Wow. We don't have storm sirens here. The last truly horrible storm was back in about 1964 - the great Columbus Day storm.
It is only supposed to be 80 here today and then warm up to 87 by Monday. We don't get triple digit temps here all that often - I think once last year was all.
I got the laundry done on Tuesday, so none today but will have to do it again on Saturday.
Heading back out to Dad's for the day today.
Hope your boys had a blast camping.
A lot of people are complaining that they are now using the sirens not only for tornados but also for particularly severe weather. Personally if they decide the weather is bad enough to warn us - whatever it is - I want to know. But after having a tornado come through before they could even turn on the sirens and living on a lot with a lot of BIG trees I am a little paranoid. My feeling is warn us and we can make the decision to take cover or not. :)
The guys had a blast camping (and Lauren and I loved an all girls week!) but dang they have a lot of stinky laundry! Daniel's sleeping bag just went back in the washing machine for a second run through. It still smelled unpleasant to put it nicely!
LOL. I understand the 'unpleasant' smell. My boys bedroom always smells bad in the morning. I think they must pass a awful lot of gas during the night the way it smells.
Well, we got back from my Dad's. I spent almost 4 hrs using a weed eater in 85 degree full sun. It got hotter than they were forecasting. The grass and weeds were almost as tall as I am with some being even taller (I'm 5'2"). It feels like my eyelids got burned through my glasses.
Nekoda just asked me to go bounce him on the trampoline. I told him it is all I can do to sit in the chair. I have about 10 minutes before I need to get dinner anyway. I am just beat. Leftovers for us tonight.
