We have it narrowed down to 4 agencies. I was wondering if anyone has any opinions one way or another on any of these agencies.
I have had several conversations with AGCI and attended a couple of webinars and found them lovely, but they do not have an office in our state and so home study would need to be done by a 3rd party. Does this make the process longer/more difficult?
Any and all feedback greatly appreciated by PM!!! Feeling overwhelmed and have only just begun!!

before you decide...be sure to ask how long their wait list is for a child that meets your criteria. i know a family who was only open to a young as possible, minor needs, girl, and they were told they would wait 18 or more months to be matched. they switched agencies and were matched that week.

Hey Angie!I've actually just started volunteering at the GWCA and I already know that when i'm old enough to adopt i'll be working with this agency. I volunteer in the office itself working closely with the two women who you will talk to initially when starting your adoption process and these two are on the ball! Constantly talking with families and calling to check in and make sure all of their questions are answered. I would say it's definitely worth giving them a call and I think you'll quickly find that they're extremely helpful. As far as home study goes, it's located in Austin Texas and so if you're a resident of Texas or Florida they will do your home study for you however if you're in another state you'll still need a third party. As somebody who spends time at the agency itself I would definitely recommend using this agency, they're a hard working bunch. Alex
