LW told us we should be approved early next week for placements! All this preparation, and now I feel totally unprepared haha! Can't wait to start though! Anyone working with Marion County? Do you go to the support group meetings for parents?

The hubby and I are also in Marion County. We have our final homestudy on Tuesday! Just finishing up the final things this weekend, so we are good to go!

We are in downtown Indy. Maybe we will meet one day...Would be great to have some foster parent friends! Good luck on your homestudy (it's pretty easy)!

Me & my husband are foster parents in Washington County. We have attended several of the support group meetings. They are not too bad. The first one we attended I was a bit turned off because one of the foster mom's carried on the whole time and interrupting everyone. Thought she'd never hush lol. Anyway, I would suggest that you do things the way you want to do them and not go by the stories you may hear if you start attending the meetings, because every situation is different.
