Can y'all read this and tell me if she doesn't hit every single possibility/trait of an "Orphanage Poster Child"?
Also - for those experienced with orphanage directors, how often would one be that honest about a child with some issues? Especially Ukraine where there's a lot of FAS and yet nothing is ever said because officials don't believe in "issues" or actual problems?
I replied because it's obviously not out of the realm for this situation/child. In fact it is more common than not, but something...I dunno what...made me want more opinions.

OK issues that jump out at me, orphanage directors don't tell the people stuff like that cause as you said they don't acknowledge that kind of stuff. Also how did she talk to the orphanage director? They don't usually come with hosted kids. Next, they only allow the best kids to go on hosting trips like this. Never kids they would consider disturbed. Also 7 and half hours in the car??? I looked into hosting, we did not qualify because we were not living close enough to one of the host cities. They have activities a few times a month for all the hosted children and the families. Also because of the language issue they required families to be close to the translator. We were told that two hours away was too far. They choose areas where there are big cities (and airports) and the only family's they chose are fairly close to those cities. You don't get to talk to the orphanage director until you go to Ukraine to do the adoption paperwork. Not when you host. You also don't usually find out things like the child's grades and the future plans for that child. It's also very rare for an orphanage child to be fat, or she says to have a belly that would put a child in much larger clothes. The eating everything in sight is normal mainly because they are used to having very limited foods. Things just don't add up to me. She feeds them a lunch of fruit and rice and whole wheat pancakes for breakfast with more fresh fruit. OK I know families who feed kids these types of foods. Those families would never have tortilla chips and capri suns in the pantry. LOL. That one of course could just be the people I know.

Well, maybe I am wrong and there is an irresponsible group doing hosting. The following appeared on my FB today from a friend who is involved with adoption, but whom I don't think is on this site. If you or anyone you may know is available ASAP to host a 7 yr old from Ukraine in an Hosting Program -- PLEASE let me know ASAP. ALL FEES ARE PAID FOR. Some requirements: No smaller/younger children and be within driving distance to Chicago to take the little girl to airport on August 23. She is currently here with a family and it is not working out.
