First time adopting!

Hello all!

Short backstory: my hubby and I have been trying for a child of our own for a while, with no success. We finally decided that adoption was the way to go.

My hubby is a member of the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma, so we are planning to adopt through them. We want to begin the actual process in April, but I'm wondering if we need to wait that long.

Has anyone adopted through the nation? What was you're experience like with them?

I don't have any experience adopting thru the nation, but as to your other question about waiting until april - Just remember this process (as I am finding out) can be lengthy. Depending on the timing of your plans, you may consider a little earlier.
