What's Your Toughest Parenting Challenge?

One of my hardest things with school aged kids is finding enough time to help them with there homework.:grr: We have 4 special needs kids and 3 are in school.

Finding the time to help them with homework AND juggle the dinner AND tend to a 21 month old sometimes can be almost to much to handle.

Hubby and I "tag team" a lot, and that helps most of the time.;)

It is so tough.... parenting is really hard and truth behind it is we don't actually know how we are doing until we are done. I've been questioning myself on this a lot. All we can do is our best, what we think is best for our child. The hardest stage of parenting is the one you're in right now.

The toughest part of parenting? That's a good question. I don't think there is just one "toughest". I think it's all tough. For me it varies from day to day. We have 6 kids aged 21 to 5. Some days it's simply all the noise; other days is our crazy, cram packed schedule; sometimes its how expensive everything is and trying to balance wants with needs; and sometimes it's answering questions like, why didn't my birth-mom take good care of me. Today it's a matter of keeping up with housework, dishes, laundry, toys, grocery shopping all with kids that apparently have overflowing energy and want my undivided attention. The good thing is that even with the many toughest parts of parenting; it's always worth it; and over all; over time, the good definitely outweighs the bad.
