I found a possible match in the search for my sister. She said she was born in New York and adopted by a family in New york but was told the adoption was finalized in texas because it was a faster process. As a reunited adoptee who has done lots of searching and reading messageboards, I have never heard of such a thing. Have any of you known this to happen before? I am convinced that either she was misinformed or her birth parents were misinformed. Our sister was born in texas and adopted by a jewish family in New York just like our possible match and her birth month and year are the same so we want to dig deeper to see if there is anything there. She is going to see if she can take a look at her fake BC to see if it says texas or new york. If she was in fact born in new york, there is no way it would say Texas...right?? Also could it say new york if she was born in texas? Please help!! Im having trouble finding the facts :-0 Thanks so much for your time!!!!

I think maybe "back in the day" they could get away with falsifying birth certificates. What year was she born? Email me privately at terrieh32002@yahoo.com
