We are getting ready to finalize our adoption of little girl! We are in the getting ready to do the adoption subsidy negotiation. Little girl has Hypoplastic Left Ventricle Syndrome and is post Fontan now. She is doing great but we know that at any time her heart could fail. We went into the adoption as fully informed as we could about her medical condition but made the choice to become her parents despite all of that. She is a fighter and so are we. I just want to know when doing the negotiations do you base it on how she is currently (doing great and no real issues) or what her future holds-possible transplant or at the very least more open heart surgeries? We plan to make sure we keep her medical card to help with co pays our private insurance charges. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
:thanks:
