Has anyone had any trouble finding the correct gate where their airplane back to the U.S. was located? Are there English signs or did you just go to where your airline area was? Did the people there speak any English? The thought just popped in my mind about getting completely lost in a foreign airport, especially since I'm planning on going by myself.
I have flown in and out of Russia four times and never had a problem finding the correct gates. Your agency should have a good escort who will be working with you in Moscow, and who can give you some guidance about getting through the airport once your escort gets you to the security check points. I do beleive there is some English signage to help, and several people in Moscow speak English.

Your agency will have an escort to help you & there are signs in english and some people who do speak english. Ive flown into many international airports and there has always been english signs and speakers.
You should have no problem in Moscow. Everything is in Russian and in English. We did get a little lost in the regional airport because there were no English signs, but fortunately, it was a small airport, and we just wandered around until we found where we were supposed to be. Our escorts would have gone with us had we asked, but we were pretty sure we could handle it...and we did. :)
Everything is in English and Russian in Moscow, so there are no issues. I would encourage you to learn to read Russian letters, makes it lot more easier. Our agency's driver had agency name written in Russian on his board, and we were told that driving company's name will be on the board. Since we were able to read Russian, we were able to identify the sign.
