My husband and I were officially licensed 2 weeks ago and got a call that same day for a newborn. He was in our care for just a few days before family stepped up. Since then we have not had any calls. We are licensed ages 0-3 in camden county. How often do you typically wait in between children? We would love to have new little one soon and the wait is killing me!
Hi! I am in Camden County as well....honestly, it really is unpredictable. We have been licensed about 15 months and have had 15 placements. We only do girls 0-7, so that cuts down on alot of placements. The main goal is to keep families together, so if a suitable family is found the same day as removal, they go with them. We have had placements as short as 36hours and our longest is still with us at 3months so far. However she is from a different licensing office than ours...it also does not hurt to call and remind them you have open beds...if you don't mind me asking, what office are you out of? if its south, I can give you the placement facilitator's ext...she knows me by name...:)

Hi also in Camden county. Licensed ten months five placements. Girls 0 to 6 . Very random no calls for months. Then phone rang once a week for three weeks. Phone just rang as I was typing 7 month old. Placement was not needed while I was talking to worker.
Wow, we have been licensed for 3 years and have only gotten one call! That one call was for a (then) 6 yr old, she is 8 years old and we are close to adoption (they are estimating June, can't wait.
We opened our home again 3 months again and not one call. We can only accept one child due to amount of kids in home, but we are ready!
