Petitioning the Pa Court

I was adopted in Pa and have to petition the court to obtain non identifying information..Does anyone know if there is a specific form I have to use or can it be in the form of professional correspondence?

Hi Siess, in 2010 PA opened it's adoption laws to allow adoptees to see what is in their file. I believe at this point you dont need to petition the court because the records have been opened.

I would go to the Clerk of the Adoption court where your adoption was finalized and ask how to get the info you want. The Clerk will provide that information free, but they will not give legal advice.
