Hello,
I'm new here and looking for reviews and information on agencies with programs in the DRC. We have been in contact with MLJ, OWAS, and EAC so far. They all look good, and the people we've contacted have been super friendly and informative, which makes it really hard to know which agency to choose!
I'd also love to hear about any other programs that may be out there as well as any stories or experience from folks who have completed an adoption from Congo.
If it helps, my dh and I seem to meet all the requirements for Congo adoption (married 6y, 1 kid, no criminal record, etc.), so I don't anticipate any big roadblocks or special circumstances that we'll need to work around. We just want a good, solid, stable, ethical agency to be our partner in this process.
Please PM me if you have any information or advice. Thanks!

Be very cautious in selecting agencies. It appears that the U.S. and DRC governments will be scrutinizing adoptions more carefully, to be sure that there has been no corruption. The U.S. State Department website at adoption.state.gov is a good place to read information on the DRC process and any changes that occur.

Yes, I have been checking the US state department website, as well as other general info about Congo. I understand that it's a volatile region and things can change, which is why I really want to know about the experiences other people have had with the agencies working there. It's a big commitment so I definitely want to choose the best possible agency. Thanks for commenting!
We just completed an adoption in Congo (traveled in March). We worked with MLJ and I would encourage you to chat/email/message with us before you select your agency. We also met families from several other agencies while we were in Congo.
So great to connect with other families who are considering adopting from Congo!
